Cooker & Hob Installation

Electric ovens, range cookers and induction hobs connected safely — including new dedicated cooker circuits.
  • Costs agreed before work starts
  • Certification for completed work
  • Findings explained in plain English

Electric ovens, range cookers and especially induction hobs can draw a lot of current. Before connecting a new appliance, the circuit, cable size and protection need to be checked against the manufacturer's requirements — a step that is often skipped.

We connect new and replacement appliances, fit cooker switches and outlet plates, and install new dedicated cooker circuits where the existing one isn't suitable. If you're switching from gas to induction, we'll check whether your existing supply can support it.

Good to know

Check the manual first

Look at the appliance's rating plate or installation manual for the required circuit rating. Send us a photo when you get in touch and we can confirm whether your existing circuit is suitable.

How much does cooker or hob installation cost?

Every job is different, so we price it once we understand what's needed. The main factors are:

  • Whether the existing cooker circuit is suitable
  • Need for a new dedicated circuit
  • Distance from the consumer unit
  • Cooker switch and outlet requirements

We explain charges before we attend and agree the price of any work with you before it starts. Sending photos in advance helps us quote more accurately.

Cooker & Hob Installation: FAQs

Can an induction hob go on my existing cooker circuit?

Sometimes. It depends on the combined demand of the hob and any oven on the same circuit, the cable size and the protective device. We'll check before connecting.

Do you remove old appliances?

We can disconnect old appliances. Removal and disposal can be discussed when you book.
