When the power goes off in a business, it's not just an inconvenience. Tills stop, fridges warm up, staff stand idle and customers walk out. Commercial customers need an electrician who responds quickly, finds the real cause and keeps disruption to a minimum.
We work with shops, offices, cafés and restaurants, salons, surgeries, workshops and other commercial premises across Surrey, London, Berkshire, Kent and Sussex. That covers urgent fault finding and repairs, planned work such as lighting upgrades and new circuits, and the periodic inspection and testing that insurers, landlords and the law expect.
Common requests
- Fire alarm systems: installation, fault repairs and servicing

How we work with you
Minimal disruption
We'll plan testing and isolations with you so that power is off for as little time as possible. Ask about scheduling work outside your trading hours.
Clear reports and quotes
Inspection findings are explained in plain English, prioritised, and quoted separately, so you can make decisions and budget with confidence.
Certification for your records
Completed work is tested and certified, giving you the documentation insurers, landlords and inspectors ask for.
Good to know
Your legal duty
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require employers and people in control of premises to maintain electrical systems so far as reasonably practicable to prevent danger. Regular inspection and testing is the usual way to show this.
How often should a commercial EICR be done?
IET guidance sets recommended maximum intervals by type of premises. For many offices and shops this is typically five years, with shorter intervals for higher-risk environments. The inspector may recommend a shorter interval based on condition and use.

Do businesses legally need an EICR?
There's no single law that says 'get an EICR every X years' for most businesses, but the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require electrical systems to be maintained to prevent danger. An EICR is the recognised way to demonstrate this, and insurers and commercial landlords commonly require one.
Can you work outside our opening hours?
Talk to us about your trading hours when you get in touch. We'll plan the work, and especially any power-off testing, to minimise the impact on your business.
Do you work for commercial landlords and tenants?
Yes. We can work for the landlord, the tenant or a managing agent, and send reports and invoices to whoever is responsible.
